Wayne F. Jordan, age 55 of Mott, passed away on Sunday morning, Aug. 11, 2013 at West River Region Medical Center, Hettinger. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Mott. Pastor David Skjoldal officiated with burial at Sunnyslope Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott.
Wayne Frank Jordan was born on April 25, 1958 to John and Anne Jordan at the home place just north of Mott, N.D. He was the second youngest out of 13 children.
He was educated and graduated in Mott and continued on at Bismarck State College at the Vo-tech Center and graduated with a degree in agriculture.
He returned home shortly after to work on the family farm. Wayne grew up loving farming and ranching and took over the home place in 1994. He had a gift for teaching and working with animals. He also thoroughly enjoyed working with his hands doing woodworking and metal work.
He was a very kind, patient, and understanding man, and loved the Lord with all his heart.
In June of 1992, Wayne married his wife, Diane, in Bismarck, N.D. They moved immediately to the farm and have lived there ever since. He was employed at Roadmaster Asphalt in Mott for more than 10 years as a welder and fabricator.
He was active in several churches throughout the years and was the one his friends would call when they needed someone to pray. He was a valuable part of his community and will be greatly missed by his many friends and associates.
Surviving family members include his wife, Diane, Mott, N.D.; three brothers, Ernest (Carol) Jordan, Russell (Marion) Jordan, and Marvin (Gloria) Jordan, Williston, N.D.; seven sisters, Delores (Stanley) Hughes, Hillsboro, Ill., Jeanette (Earl) Strehlow, Bismarck, N.D., Carol (Chris) Voegele, Bowman, N.D., Mary (Larry) Messer, Mott, N.D., Elaine (Russell) Mather, Bismarck, N.D., Ann (Todd) Bortke, Bismarck, N.D. and Roberta Myhra, Fargo, N.D.; his father-in-law, Howard Cotton, Bismarck, N.D.; two sisters-in-law, Maggie Jordan, Dickinson, N.D. and Linda Cotton, Bismarck, N.D.; two brothers-in-law, Duane Cotton, Los Angeles, Calif. and Dale Cotton, Bismarck, N.D.; and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne, and two brothers, Lawrence and Gary Jordan and mother-in-law, Irene Cotton.
