Roland Zimmerman founded RZ Motors in Hettinger, determined to do the best he could by his community. After 31 years, the car dealership is doing well despite the ups and downs of the recent economy.
The company employees 15 full-time employees and 14-part-time.
It doesn’t matter what the driver’s favorite type of vehicle is, RZ is the franchise for Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Jeep and Arctic Cat ATV and Prowler.
Tucks, cars, SUVs and everything in between is available both new and used.
Along with sales, there is also a certified staff on hand to help out with routine maintenance, repairs, tires and the express lane on many services (such as oil change or tire rotation) the customer is in and out in half and hour with no appointment necessary.
Bringing in the new year will also bring in some new faces as well.
Ryan Jacobson is the grandson of founder Zimmerman, and after attending UND returned to the family business in 2011
“Ryan grew up in the automotive industry and now heads up the service department,” said Gregg Jacobson, owner.
Ryan is a master certified Ford and Chrysler service manager.
“I look forward to the future growth of this department,” said Ryan. “ My goal for RZ Motors is to maintain the dealerships 2012 customer satisfaction score of 100 percent for Ford and Chrysler.”
Jon Cooper has already assumed duties managing the parts department, and is already certified for parts with Ford and Chrysler.
“I look forward to improving customer service and a quality parts inventory, as well as meeting the community,” he said.
Nothing is better than new car smell and a sparkling set of keys, and Katy Kindsfater will get drivers behind the wheel their dream car. Katy is the finance and insurance specialist, bringing several years of banking, lending, finance and insurance experience to the team to get drivers that new key chain.
“Katy will be here to help make RZ Motors your single source for all of your next vehicle purchase needs,” said Gregg.
The Internet has brought many changes to the way of doing business. Renee Miller has assumed the role as Internet Sales Specialist.
She also specializes in finance and insurance with her certification as a licensed agent in North Dakota.
“Renee bring enthusiasm, fun, and a friendly face to our dealership,” said Gregg. Check out some of her work at www.r-zmotors.com
The new General Manager is Kortney Kindsfater. He grew up in southwest North Dakota, and after being way for many years, is excited about the opportunity to rejoin the “small town” community lifestyle.
“Kortney brings more than 10 years of experience to RZ Motors with certifications in Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram.
“Come in and grab a cup of coffee and meet the staff,” said Gregg. “We’ve met the economic challenges of serving the area for 31 years and look forward to being here for the next 31 years,” said Gregg.
