The corner of Airport Rd and Adams Ave has seen many things recently. There have been trucks and tractors, dirt, cement, steel and hard-working men and woman all over the place. The approximately 8,300 square ft. Family Dollar is now fully built and ready to be stocked.

According to the chain’s press department, the Family Dollar will have it’s grand opening on July 25.

Thousands of different kinds of products will be on hand at the store. They offer everything from the name brand essentials to lesser-known companies just getting started. The Family Dollars hosts a variety of different items from all the major departments.

The store is a discount retailer that carries national name brands and quality private brands. At Family Dollar customers will find a wide variety of health and beauty, household, pet and seasonal items, as well as an expanded assortment of refrigerated and frozen goods. Plus, Family Dollar offers clothing and apparel for men, women and children, states their website.

There are a lot of similarities between the new coming Family Dollar and the hometown ALCO store, but Family Dollars says not to count them out.

“In addition to offering quality merchandise at low prices,” said Public Relations Manager, Bryn Winburn, “Family Dollar is committed to the communities we serve by supporting the non-profit organizations that seek to improve the quality of life for our customers and Team Members.”

Each year, Family Dollar donates thousands of dollars in in-kind donations to non-profit organizations, as part of their FamilyHope program, to help those less fortunate.

“We look forward to lending a hand to such organizations in this new community,” said Winburn.

The “Now Hiring” sign is posted out front of the building. Stop by or apply online at www.familydollar.com if interested.

“We look to hire the best from the neighborhood for our stores. Our people and our value and convenience really help differentiate us from other retailers. For more than 50 years, Family Dollar has been helping families save on the items they need with everyday low prices. Our vision is to be the best value and convenience retailer serving the needs of customers in our neighborhoods,” said Winburn.

Also, keep an eye out for grand opening deals and specials coming soon.
