The Night Hawks Drug and Alcohol Coalition which serves to promote drug and alcohol free events for area youth, held the event on Aug. 17th.

Activities included relay races, bobbing for apples, a water balloon fight, pie eating contest, basketball games and a special guest appearance from Ali the cow.

Free will donations were accepted and Kennedy’s Fresh Foods helped sponsor the event.

The Coalition is planning upcoming events to include a Homecoming dance, Red Ribbon week events, a gingerbread house contest, a New Year’s Eve party and Valentines dinner.

The Night Hawks Drug and Alcohol Coalition meets every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center. They invite everyone to join the group and would like to see as much community support and involvement as possible. For more information contact Barb Cummings at (701) 928-1488.
