Excellence in agriculture celebrated during this year’s Harvest Bowl

The success, dedication and hard work of outstanding agriculturists in 53 counties in North Dakota and several counties in Minnesota were honored during the 41st annual Harvest Bowl program at North Dakota State University.

Adams County honoree:

Bruce and Cheryl Hagen farm near Reeder. They raise certified seed and grow spring wheat, durum, canola, sunflowers, safflowers, corn and barley. They also have a cow-calf operation that includes a feedlot and backgrounding feeders. Bruce has his private pilots license.

He serves on the Reeder Fire Department, Adams County Crop Improvement Association, Reeder Lions Club, Adams County Airport Authority and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church board. He also was a Reeder Farmers Union Oil board member.

Cheryl serves on the board of volunteer organizations for Dakota Prairie Helping Hands and the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church board trust fund.

Bruce and Cheryl have volunteered for many local organizations. They attended North Dakota State College of Science. They have three children.
