Hettinger Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2014 Chamber Awards. Award winners will be announced at the annual Chamber meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday evening January 28th at Suzie’s WoodFire.
Categories include: Business Person of the Year (owner or employee of current chamber business member who is a business leader and actively involved in the community), Volunteer of the Year (individual who has displayed leadership, concern and commitment to organizations, community functions or individuals in need), Medical Services Provider of the Year (e.g. nurse’s aide, nurse, doctor, medical receptionist, etc.), Educator of the Year (teachers, Sunday school teacher, piano teacher, etc.), Pioneer Business (current business in business 20 years or more), Youth Employee of the Year (current high school student or 2014 graduating senior), Partner in Community Pride (business or organization with outstanding community support e.g. volunteers for community functions, decorated business front, employees participate in community organizations/events), Ag-Producer of the Year (producer who represents themselves professionally and successfully in agriculture, is actively involved with the community and demonstrates leadership in agriculture).
Nomination applications are available at the chamber office, local financial institutions, WRHS Hettinger Clinic, or can be downloaded at www.hettingernd.com homepage.
Absolute deadline for submitting applications is 11am on Monday January 12th since the committee will meet that day to choose the winners.

The public is encouraged to submit nominations. Because it is an honor to be nominated regardless of whether or not nominee is a winner, all the nominees will be recognized both at the annual awards presentation and on the radio beforehand.
