Furthering its commitment to delivering strong community journalism, The Adams County Record’s parent company Country Media has installed a new editor at its Hettinger publication.

Cole Benz, who worked as editor of Country Media’s publication The Herald in New England and as a freelance sports writer at the Bowman County Pioneer, will now focus on providing relevant news and sports copy for the ACR. He has been behind the scenes for the last couple months working on transitioning to the Hettinger community.

“We are pleased to have Cole at the helm of the Record,” said Bryce Martin, Country Media’s North Dakota group editor. “Cole brings with him a strong sense of commitment and interesting ideas to enhance the paper’s presentation of local news and sports.”

Benz is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in communications.

Before joining Country Media one year ago, Benz was employed as a television advertising copywriter in Fargo. Benz can be reached at cbenz@countrymedia.net.

The Record’s Office Manager Stephanie Zimmermann left the ACR earlier this month to pursue other endeavors.
