Lenore Hutton passed away at the age of 98 at the Weston County Manor in Newcastle, Wyo.
Lenore was born on Aug. 16, 1917 to Lola Helen (Beasly) and Fredrick Adolfus Reid in New Sulphur, Arkansas.
Lenore married Daniel Meacham in 1934 and to this union two children were born. Lenore married John H. Hutton in 1946, and two children were born from this marriage. She was a country store owner and postmaster for 22 years. She worked as a welder at LinkAire field, Arizona during WWII.
Lenore was a missionary in the Caroline Islands from 1982-1983 for the Bahai Faith. She was a member of the Bahai Faith for over 50 years. Lenore volunteered for FOCUS in the mid 80s and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 20 plus years. In later years she was active in a book club.
Lenore was a wonderful quilter and crocheted the morning of her death, she also taught these gifts to many others, she was good at all crafts. Lenore was a very kind and loving person to all.
Lenore is survived by her daughter, Helen Dower of Newcastle, sons, John R Hutton of Laramie, Paul K. Hutton of Reeder, ND, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren,17 great great grandchildren one brother Keith M. Reid of Tulsa, OK and many nieces and nephews.
One son Charles Meacham, her parents and 6 siblings preceded her in death.
Burial and graveside services were held on April 25 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Reeder, ND. A private memorial will be held in the near future.
