The West River Health Services Foundation is hosting their 2nd Annual “Foundation Nation” Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 21, at the Hettinger Country Club. Everyone, including the kids and inexperienced golfers, are welcome to attend. It’s a family-fun day, 9-hole scramble golf tournament; with cornhole boards, card and board games for non-golfers. And you read that headline right – on Hole no. 8, from 150 yards for the men, 135 yards for the women, you have a chance to win $6,600 with a hole-in-one! Yes the cup is only 4 inches in diameter, but the ball is only one inch! You never know! Stranger things have happened!

You can sign up your own team as a foursome or fivesome; or you can sign up individually or as a couple and we’ll place you on a fun team! To register, please call the Hettinger Country Club at 701-567-2339 or Ted at the WRHS Foundation at 701-567-3666 prior to May 20th. For only $25, you can enjoy the golf, the meal and all of the awesome prizes. Yes, we’ll have amazing team prizes, hole prizes, kids prizes and door prizes. The golf begins on Saturday with a 4:00pm shotgun start!

In the event you wish not to display your golfing prowess, we are also offering Hettinger Jaycee’s BINGO at 5:00pm! That’s right, the amazing community BINGO that everyone has enjoyed the last few winters, is coming to the Hettinger Country Club for this special event. In fact, the Hettinger Jaycee’s are donating $2,500 to our “One Room At a Time Together Campaign” to help us renovate our Western Horizons Care Center. All of the proceeds from the golf entry fees and any other gifts, go toward our Care Center renovations as well. We’re not exactly sure how many games of BINGO we’ll be playing, somewhere around 8-12 games, with hopes of having a BLACKOUT BINGO once all of the golfers complete their 9 holes and join the BINGO players for one final BLACKOUT blast.

Then we will provide an amazing meal, which is included in the $25 entry fee for the golfers. We will ask for a $10 or more gift to the Foundation, if you plan to enjoy the meal as well as the BINGO, cornhole, board or card games. Once again, all of the proceeds benefit our “One Room At a Time Together” Campaign at Western Horizons Care Center.

We hope to see all of you at this terrific event. The sun will be shining, the BINGO will be fun, the meal and prizes will be terrific! You might WIN? Come join us – from the south end of Main Street in Hettinger, the Hettinger Country Club is about 4 miles east and south. See you there! For $6,600 for one golf shot and maybe a winning BINGO card? Why not?
