The results of the North Dakota Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest were revealed at the annual convention in Crosby on May 6.
The results of the North Dakota Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest were revealed at the annual convention in Crosby on May 6. The Adams County Record came away with six awards that included one Honorable Mention, three 2nd-place finishes, and two 1st-place finishes. The Record won second place for Overall Design Excellence.
First place awards included the coverage of the ALLETE Clean Energy wind farm project and spot news photograph (train hitting a semi). The Record also won second place for government reporting, spot news, and front page design.
The annual NDNA awards honored excellence in news/editorial, advertising, photography and design for work completed in 2015 by daily and weekly North Dakota newspapers.
With a circulation of just under 1,000, the Adams County Record sat at the top of its 1 to 1,000 circulation division.
The Adams County Record did not submit content last year.
The Record’s sister publications, the Bowman County Pioneer and the Herald, also won awards during the ceremony.
