For The Record
The Wood Fire is now under new management and also has a new name. Sam and Jens Jesfield are the new managers and they changed the name to The Fun Bar. Sam manages the bar and is also the general manager while Jens is the kitchen manager. They initially opened for business on March 15, 2016, on a 90-day lease. They wanted to see if they could make it a go before signing a longer lease. They are doing well and just recently signed a three year lease.
Both Sam and Jens have extensive experience in retail sales and customer service and have previously been assistant managers in those lines of work. Sam has worked as a cook in several places and Jens also has cooking experience.
They had been open Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and they just recently extended their hours to 11 a.m.-1 a.m. in order to serve lunch. They will not close early and will serve food until 12:30 a.m.
Their specialties are authentic true barbecue smoked beef and pork with a variety of “bar food”. They are also trying new items all the time.
They also picked up the BNSF railroad contract which puts them on 24 hour call to feed the railroad workers.
The Fun Bar is not owned, managed or affiliated with any previous owners or management.
The Fun Bar welcomes all to drop by and give them a try for a fun time and decent eats.
