Hettinger School’s FACS I and FACS II classes, led by Mrs. Schauer has been making lots of baked goodies for the Schneider Benefit. They have been working diligently to bake cupcakes, breads, bars and cookies.  The cupcakes are with pink and yellow batter, with pink and yellow frosting to represent both breast cancer and Wegener’s Disease. They would like to send their love and support for both Tammy and Kevin by baking love in each tasty morsel. Please join together at the Armory and support Kevin and Tammy Schneider on Oct. 21.

dsc07659In previous weeks the FACS II class has made posters about nutritional vitamins and minerals.   They made posters which have the name of a vitamin or mineral and foods that contain each along with the use and benefits.  Students presented the posters to both of Mrs. Arndorfer’s Kindergarten classes. The posters were then hung in the cafeteria for all to view.

The FACS I class is working on teaching proper table manners and etiquette to Kindergarteners as well as one another. Each student chose an etiquette component to teach, from flatware to glassware and from dinnerware to how to properly cut a piece of meat.  Students are now ready for any style of fancy banquet meal both away or at home.
