The Hettinger FBLA Chapter hosted their annual carnival on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the Hettinger High School Gymnasium.

Planning for the event took roughly two weeks, with senior officers Tayler Burwick, Brianna Robinson, and McKenna Poss spearheading the event, they spent time organizing and gathering prizes. Setting the event up and taking it down took a few hours thanks to multiple club members.

Rain brought in the crowd from outside. According to Don Smith, FBLA Advisor, about 50 kids showed up for the carnival in costume. Many adults accompanied them and watched as the kids enjoyed games and took part in the parade.

Smith said about 30 FBLA members helped to make the event a success.

At the event, attendees participated in football throw, basketball shoot, fishing, wheel of fortune, mini golf, dart throw, face painting, coloring, and much more.

The event was two hours and Smith said they will be holding it again next year.
