Keith Jackson, Physical Training Coach, took four of his lady trainees to Medora on Aug. 5 to compete in the 5th Annual Cowboy-Elite Power Lifting Federation. They are all from Hettinger and all four ladies did very well. Here is a rundown on how they performed:

•Dorothy Becker defended and broke her previous state record of 185 lbs with a lift of 203 lbs. and has been training about five years.
•Dara Massad set a state record and a personal best in her class with a lift of 225 lbs and has been training about six months.
•Micky Weiland set a state record and a personal best in her class with a lift of 240 lbs and has been training about two years.
•Samantha Pagel set a state record and a personal best in her class with a lift of 280 lbs and has been training about six months.
Very impressive achievements and all four now qualify for the nationals.
Mr. Jackson has been quite busy lately as he worked this summer with the Lemmon football players and also works with the Night Hawks. He currently has 15-18 men and women who he works with twice a week.
