For The Record
The sets were close in this match also as Grant Co. won 3-2 with scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 21-25 and 15-13.
I believe the pivotal set was the first set when Coyote Taylor Roehl, with her team down 16-10, ran off 11 straight points serving. I had her serving 15 of the Coyotes 25 points with many of them aces. She also led her team with 15 kills for the five set match. She is definitely all-region and should be a candidate for all-state.
Leading the way for the Night Hawks in kills were Alyssa Andress with 14 and Molly Holt with 11. Holt and Carolyn Schultz each had 19 digs with Callie Anderson adding 12 along with 22 assists.
Unfortunately for the Night Hawks one of their main players, Abbie Kludt, is currently out with a knee injury. She may possibly return to action later.
The Night Hawk junior varsity did well with their match with scores of 25-22 and 25-19. Madelyn Larson served the last three points for the Night Hawks in the first set. The second set was loaded with numerous lengthy volleys by both teams.
