The Night Hawks received the opening kickoff and three plays later Isaiah Kludt scampered for a 44-yard touchdown, and with a two-point conversion they were up 8-0.  Shiloh Christian went on to score on their next four possessions, and five of their seven possessions in the first half and led 38-14 at half time.

For the Record

Kludt would add a 79 kickoff return in the second quarter for the Night Hawks second score in the first half.  Shiloh would end up finding pay dirt on eight of their 11 possessions for the game and won 58-26 as most of the second half was played with a running clock.

Shiloh’s quarterback Jaden Mitzel threw three touchdown passes and ran in two more for the Skyhawks.  Jonas Johnson led the Skyhawks in rushing with 147 yards, all in the first half.  He sustained a hard tackle late in the first half and did not return for the second half.  But it didn’t seem to slow down Shiloh as his replacement Trey Brunelle rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.  Canaan Fagerland added 120 rushing yards and one score.

Kludt led the Night Hawks with 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Jacob Dix had 43 yards rushing with one score.  Jaxon Mellmer scored the last touchdown on a 56-yard run late in the game.

Shiloh would total 554 yards, 128 passing and 426 rushing while the Night Hawks had five yards passing and 221 rushing.  Total first downs would also go with Shiloh 24 to 9.

It doesn’t get any easier for the Night Hawks as they face undefeated New Salem/Glen Ullin next week at New Salem.
