Kennedy’s provides Thanksgiving Dinner

With Thanksgiving upon us, it’s a great time to reflect on all you are thankful for. Whether it’s that job you hold so near and dear or a family member you just couldn’t do without, this holiday is a fantastic way to remind yourself of how important even the little things can mean to you.

Many would agree that having close friends and endearing neighbors is something to be eternally grateful for and a staple in all that is the meaning of Thanksgiving. Kyle Kennedy, manager of Kennedy’s Fresh Foods, got word a few weeks ago that a local couple who for many years hosted a community Thanksgiving meal at Trinity Catholic Church had moved away from the area. Hearing the news, Kennedy, decided to step up and sponsor this years Thanksgiving meal expressing that it seemed like the right thing to do.

For years, Trinity Catholic Church in Hettinger, was the location of the sponsored meal by providing a hot meal at the cost of free-will donation. Keeping with tradition, Kennedy’s is whipping up a Thanksgiving meal complete with turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, cranberries, dinner rolls, and pie. All hot, fresh and ready to eat! The meals are intended to be ordered and can either be picked up or delivered right to your door at no cost. A free will donation will be gratefully accepted, and all proceeds will go to either a non-profit organization and/or funds for a medical benefit to help a member of the community. Kennedy believes that if anyone wishes to donate in exchange for a meal, it’s a great way to give to someone in need.

Being it is the first time doing this, Kennedy mentioned that he doesn’t know what to expect in terms of profit. If no money is made, then no money is made. Regardless of the outcome in terms of profit, Kennedy is resolute in his family’s philosophy of doing of the right thing. When the opportunity presented itself, there was no hesitation. This season, we can all certainly give thanks for all the wonderful blessings in our lives. The Kennedy’s wish to express how grateful they are to serve the community and are thankful for your business and continued support.
