As a part of the process of changes coming in the newspaper, our readers are invited to become a part of the process by helping with re-design the Adams County Record.

We are going to start at the top and work our way through, and we will be having a contest, beginning Feb. 1 for readers to submit their thoughts and ideas on the banner, that recognizes the exceptional qualities of the entire county, and an image portraying the entire county.

Content changes will be added as well as an updated look. Look for a community calendar, and send in public events to be printed as well as added to the website.

The goal is to have as much local news as possible in the paper, but we do need to know what is going on sometimes to get there! Take pictures and send them in. We are going to run reader’s photos – they just need to be taken in Adams County. Something happening at school, church or in the neighborhood? Give us a call and we’ll do our bet to cover events. If we can’t, take a picture and send it in with contact information and we’ll get together.

Now that we have a new camera we’ll be taking more photos, and though we can only print a few, the internet is infinite, and our website will soon be organized into galleries with never-before-seen pictures. Businesses send in your new employee or if you are opening a new business, expanding or doing something new, let us know. We’d like to run a business page once a month.

It’s your newspaper, help us make it what you want to read.

But to start, send your ideas to Adams County Record, PO Box 749, Hettinger, ND 58639 or email them to jspainhower@countrymedia.net. All entries need to be received by Feb. 15. We will narrow it down to the top five things representing Adams County and then you, the reader, can vote.
