Library News

The Adams County Library has recently received “Be a NASA Detective” on loan from the North Dakota State Library.  The kit includes lots of fun activities which help patrons learn how to use scientific instruments to find out more about our world. 

The first project will be a “Pocket Solar System” the library will have materials and staff on hand to create these the week of December 17, 2018.  Our next project “Art and the Cosmic Connection” will run the week of December 31, followed by “Taking Earth’s Temperature” the week of Jan 7 and finishing up with a Planet Party January 15, 2019.  All activities and projects are for patrons ages 7 and up. 

Starting Monday January 7, 2019 we will be starting pre-pre-K stories and crafts for parents and toddlers.  Please check our Facebook page for more details as the time draws near.  This activity will occur every Monday until summer reading begins.  We hope to see lots of children and their parents to work on book related crafts and to listen to stories.  (ages 2-kindergarten and their parents/grandparents)

The New Year will also bring more training opportunities for seniors more advanced training on Android and Apple as well as Facebook training will be offered.  And don’t forget the library is well stocked with books, large print books, dvd’s and audiobooks.  Stop in and “check us out.”  M 12:30 pm-6:30 pm T-Thu 2:30 pm -6:30 pm.

We will be closed the following days for the upcoming holidays:  Dec 24-26,  Dec 31 –Jan 1.
