Night Hawk Basketball Action

The Night Hawk girls basketball team improved their record to 6-1 as they downed Grant Co., 61-55, on Dec. 11 and Lemmon, 59-27, on Dec. 15.  In the Grant Co. game, leading the Night Hawks in scoring were Alyssa Andress 17, Sam Oase 16 and Abbie Kludt 14.  Sophomore Isabelle Boyer led Grant Co. with 24.  Grant Co. currently has a 5-2 record.

For the record

Next up for the girls was Lemmon on Dec. 15 and they came away with a 59-27 win.   The Night Hawks led 12-11 after the first stop but pulled away after that.  Sam Oase with 20, Abbie Kludt 11, Briann Sanford 12 and Alyssa Andress 10 led the Night Hawk scoring.  Lemmon’s record fell to 1-3 so far.  Next up is Harding Co. (1-2) on Dec. 20 at Scranton.

The boys tangled with Harding Co. on Dec. 13 at Scranton and suffered a 60-42 loss.  Brady Dillon had a good game for the Night Hawks with 15 followed by Jacob Dix 12, Warrick Dilse 10 and Jeran Anderson 5.  Pacing the Ranchers were juniors Camden Hett 23 and Royale Elk Eagle with 20.  The Ranchers upped their record to 3-0. 

On Dec. 15 they lost to Lemmon 50-37.  The loss put the Night Hawks record at 0-5 while Lemmon improved to 3-1 which includes a win over Beach.  The Night Hawks next game is at Trinity on Dec. 22, and then they take on Flasher in their first game at the Mandan Holiday Tournament on Dec. 26.  Currently Flasher has a 3-0 record.
