Sam was selected to the All-State Class B Girls Basketball First Team and Alyssa to the second team.  Those two and their teammates brought a level of excitement to the local area for girls basketball that hasn’t been that high in many years.  The team, coached by Kelly Pierce and Eric Kelner, accomplished a Region 7 championship with an 11-0 record, an overall record of 24-3 and a fourth place finish at state.
Oase averaged 15 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2.5 steals per game.  Andress averaged 16.3 points, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.  The team averaged 60.1 points per game and gave up only 38.3 per game.
The North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association released its North Dakota Class B All-State girls basketball team on Monday, March 18.  Members of the NDAPSSA vote on the team. The All-State basketball teams are announced following the final high school basketball tournament of the season.
