Helping Hettinger Day 2019: Take Two

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Let me tell you: I braved rain and wind up until the ceremony began on my wedding day, and the luck hasn’t run out yet!

Rain (and snow) for Helping Hettinger Day? That’s a little different story.
After the weather put a damper on our originally planned date, we’re back on track for a record-breaking Helping Hettinger Day June 30th! Here’s everything you need to know before the event:
If you have not yet registered, please do so! You can register at or go to Even if you registered for the May 19th event, please re-register for the June 30th event.
Everyone must sign-in at Centennial Square the day of the event. Every participant MUST sign a waiver.
Children are welcome! There will be supervised children’s service projects, or children can join the same projects their parents choose to do.
Please do not wear nice clothing. The children’s service project involves oil-based paints. Their clothes will likely be ruined after the event.
If you can, please bring work gloves for yourself. In addition, if you have step ladders, tree cutters, trowels, weedeaters, rakes, scrapers, chain saws,pick-ups, or other equipment you’d like to donate or lend the use of for the event, please bring them to the event.
Finally, please be sure to bring sunblock, water, and protective clothing with you to the event!
