Kids got a chance to show off their culinary skills this week at the Hettinger Extension’s Delicious Dairy Cooking Class. Young cooks learned the basics of food and kitchen safety all while learning how to incorporate dairy into their cooking.
Patty Ness and Hannah Nordby worked together to teach the kids how to make corn bread, yogurt bars, and butter.
NDSU Extension Agent Hannah Nordby said that she really enjoyed working with the kids to teach them something new.
“I thought the dairy class went really well,” said Nordby. “The kids stayed really engaged and afterwards there was a lot of enthusiasm to continue cooking.”
