Team Captain Lisa Beckman announced Naomi’s Memory Walkers will participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Bismarck Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on September 7, 2019 at Sertoma Park, 300 Riverside Park Road, in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Staff Report

Naomi’s Memory Walkers consists of family and friends who are walking in memory of Naomi Ullman, long time Adams County resident, who passed away on August 18, 2014 from Alzheimer’s Disease. Current team members are Lisa, Kenny, Cassy and Madison Beckman, Brittney Ullman, Dennis Maier, Bonnie Lueck, Mary Henderson, and Travis Collins.

Naomi’s Memory Walkers will be joining over 180 participants from across North Dakota in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. This is the team’s fifth year participating in the Bismarck Walk. They have raised over $16,000 in the past four years and are hoping to reach $20,000 this year.

Naomi’s daughter, Lisa Beckman, wants to bring awareness and help raise funds for research so hopefully someday others won’t have to watch their loved ones suffer with Alzheimer’s Disease.

The Team will be holding a Bake Sale on Friday, September 6th. The Bake Sale will be held at the American Legion in Hettinger from 8:00 a.m. until Noon, or gone! Anyone willing to contribute baked goods for this cause can drop them off that morning at the Legion or contact Lisa Beckman at 567-3450 to arrange pickup.
