For the Record
Two young winless teams faced each other at Strasburg on September 20 with hopes of gaining their first victory. The Night Hawks struck first with two TDs in the first quarter. Jeran Anderson connected with Mason DeFoe for a 47 yard TD pass and later found DeFoe again for a 35 yard TD. They were up 14-0 as they only converted one of the two point conversions. Strasburg would come back with two TDs in the second quarter and converted both two point conversions and took a 16-14 lead at half time.
In the third quarter Anderson again would find his favorite receiver DeFoe for a 25 yard TD pass. Anderson ran in for the two point conversion to put the Night Hawks up 22-16. Unfortunately that would be their last scoring as the Clippers would find the end zone three times in the final quarter winning the game 38-22.
The Clippers have 21 on their roster with 12 being sophomores and freshmen and only two seniors. The Night Hawks roster is similar as they have 25 on their roster with 17 being sophomores and freshmen and only two seniors.
Anderson passed for 218 yards and three TD passes and DeFoe hauled in three TD passes and totaled 130 yard receiving. Junior quarterback Mac Kramer led the Clippers with 139 passing yards, 139 rushing and two TDs. Defensively Ty Warbis and Anderson paced the Night Hawks.
